Return on Invest (ROI) for a Lymphatic Decongestive Therapist and Earning Potential-
Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy sessions usually last about one hour and average fee for the
therapy is $85.00 per session (varies based on your geographical region). A good rule of thumb is
Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy costs about 10-15% more than a one hour massage. Note for
massage therapists, just think you can give yourself a 10-15% raise and rest your hands by
including this therapy in your practice. For those not familiar with massage therapy rates, you can
check around in your area for the average cost of a massage to get a better understating on the
earning income. If you invest $5100.00 you can pay off your investment with 60 sessions. On
average most therapists perform 6-8 sessions per day and our top performing therapist average
10 per day. As you can gather in 10 days time you have recuperated you investment and now
own your way pure profit and making more than $80.00 per hour, that’s a potential earnings of
over $166,000.00 per year. Imagine the revenue stream generated if you have 2-3 full time
therapist in your health care facility
Income Tips and Suggestions for a Lymphatic Decongestive Therapists- As you can see the
opportunity for you is unlimited and especially for home health care providers since your
overhead is limited to the travel to your clients’ home. We have several therapists who rent space
from health care offices at multiple locations, at either a percentage of their gross or flat fee.
When first starting out we suggest you negotiate a percentage with the health care office (short
term contract) which allows you greater flexibility while you build up your clientele. In this
approach, your health care office has incentives to refer clients to you since they get a
percentage of the income generated from your practice. Once you become well established then
you should switch to a flat fee if at all possible or actually open your own facility.
As another alternative we have health care providers that rent out the Lymph Drainage HE™
(Lymph Drainage HE™ cost only $2999.00) for clients to use on themselves, especially when the
client requires 3 or more sessions per week. The client is given the training to perform the therapy
on themselves and they only pay the rental fee for the use of the equipment. This offers the client
a reduced cost burden (not having to pay for professional treatment 3 times a week) and they
usually come in for the supplemental professional treatment every other week.
Another alternative to this type approach (and more popular) is that the health care provider
makes available the Lymph Drainage HE™ and a therapy room for the client to come in and
perform the therapy on themselves and the client is only charged a flat reduced rate (typically
$30.00 per session depending on your location). In this approach the equipment stays on the
premises and the health care provider does not have to make available a therapist and can
schedule multiple clients during the course of the day. Additionally, the health care provider can
add additional rooms and equipment to accommodate clients coming in at the same time. Some
even offer couple packages which allows couples to perform the therapy on each other for a flat
fee which usually includes a one time training fee to show them how to perform the therapy.
As you can see there is a lot of potential by offering flexible plans for your clients and is safe and
effective for all individuals. Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy is reimbursable by most insurance
when prescribed by a licensed physician. Click here to purchase online or here to read more about the Lymph Drainage HE™
